The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne Wine Estate

now open for Sunday lunch

The Month
Wednesday, February 9, 2011

End your weekend on an unhurried culinary high at the magnificently appointed The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne and take in the awe-inspiring views in the hub of the Devon Valley outside Stellenbosch over an elegant, yet relaxed Sunday lunch amidst the vineyards.

Now open daily for lunch except for Mondays, this popular Winelands destination has developed a devoted following since 2009 for its fresh, seasonal and easy, contemporary cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Nadia Louw Smith.

She, describes her cuisine as ‘world food with an earthy sophistication, cooked from the heart and presented with perfection’ and eschews the elaborate, choosing to create sumptuous yet unpretentious food, simple in structure yet complex in flavour, texture and colour. She harvests most of her fresh greens from her own organic vegetable and herb garden on the wine estate.
